A Baby Quilt

Remember this? Well, after Max's backpack arrived, his mom asked if I'd be willing to make him a quilt. She'd bought a bumper for him, but the pediatrian told her that was a, what better to do with a bumper than to make it into a quilt. The bumper fabric is the stripe I used for the binding...I totally get why she loved it. It's super cute!

Here it is finished, but before washing it. It was my first time doing a meander stitch for the quilting. It was so much nicer than doing swirls! I did have to unpick about 1/4 after I realized that my tension was WAY off. But worth it in the end for a nice finished project.

And here it is nice and crinckled. Fresh out of the dryer. With minky on the back (which is totally easy to work with for a quilt backing & I take back every bad thing I've ever said about it!).
